New Toyota bZ5X – The Japanese manufacturer continues to invest in developing its electric vehicles in one market where the presence of a “green” model is most welcome in Europe. According to Carsalesbase, Toyota’s results in this market have improved since 2014: in the past, negative dynamics were noted only at the end of “covid” 2020: dealers sold 641,597 copies (12.1% less than in 2019 ). Today’s “green” line already has its firstborn. It’s the Toyota bZ4X (its “twin” is the Subaru Solterra). This “socket” SUV is comparable in size to the current RAV4; the model is already available in Europe: for example, in Germany, the “electro crossover” can be purchased for at least 47,490 euros. For comparison, for a Toyota RAV4 in this market, they are asking for at least 37,490 euros.

The Toyota lineup will also showcase other new products developed under the bZ project. One of them could be a flagship electric crossover the size of the Highlander (note that the length is 4966 mm, width – 1930 mm, height – 1755 mm, and the axle distance is 2890 mm). The Spanish edition of motor, the Japanese brand’s new SUV, may be named the bZ5X.

Such a “green” crossover will likely receive a salon designed for five or seven riders. It is assumed that the production version of the Toyota bZ5X will appear in 2026, and deliveries of the car to European and American dealers will begin in the same year. There is no official word on what the flagship electric SUV will look like. The designers of motor.es offer their version of the novelty appearance.

It is assumed that when designing the exterior, the developers borrowed heavily from the Toyota by Large SUV, which was presented at the end of last year at a briefing held by the head of the company, Akio Toyoda. Judging by the renders, the model will have the same features as the first born of the “green” line – the bZ4X SUV. Although it does not have the wheel arches highlighted in black, a more complex sidewall design is added. But the head optics, LED taillights, and the air intake integrated into the bottom of the front bumper remain the same.

There is no official data yet on the “stuffing” of the future electric crossover. According to preliminary information, this model will only have an all-wheel-drive version. The Spanish edition believes that the SUV lineup will have a pair of twin-engine units (one electric motor on each axle), and the base version will receive a 217-horsepower system. The top-end version will receive a 313-horsepower system. . Traction battery capacity is not yet known. Probably the cruising distance without recharging will be around 500 km.
